Congratulations to Attorney Alfredo Estrada! He was successful in reopening a 27 year old deportation order for his immigration client. Alfredo appeared and litigated the 1996 deportation order in the Los Angeles Immigration Court arguing that his client lacked proper notice of immigration proceedings due his age and complexity of immigration proceedings. The Los Angeles Immigration Court agreed and reopened immigration proceedings. Alfredo stated that he will now seek to dismiss immigration proceedings due to his client be eligible for legal permanent residency through INA 245(i).
